Our Favorite Spring Activities in Lake Chelan
Spring is finally here, and the sun is shining over Lake Chelan!
The snow is melting, the hilltops are turning vibrant green, and the valley is slowly waking up from its winter nap.
Outdoor enthusiasts across the state are breathing a sigh of relief as trails reopen, parks come alive, and favorite spring activities return. And at Echo Valley Resort and Cabins, outdoor fun is kind of our thing—with some of the best recreation right outside our door!
Echo Valley Bike and Hiking Trails
Echo Valley Resort is surrounded by an incredible network of biking and hiking trails for all skill levels. Whether you're craving a rugged dirt road adventure or a smooth, easy ride, trails like the Shoe Trail Head and Upsy-Daisy are sure to keep the whole crew happy.
Prefer to ditch the bike? Hit the trail on foot and take on the Whoop-Di-Do Loop or opt for a peaceful stroll along the Morning Glory Trail. You can find all the details on Echo Ridge trails on our website under the Recreation tab!
Golf
Before the summer heat kicks in (and while winter is officially behind us), spring is the sweet spot for a round of golf. Lake Chelan has several courses to choose from, each with its own unique views and challenges.
Check out Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course and Bear Mountain Ranch nearby, or venture a bit farther to Gamble Sands or Desert Canyon for even more unforgettable rounds.
Parks
While Riverwalk Park, Don Morse and Manson Bay Park are some of the valley's most popular spots, don’t miss a few hidden gems this spring.
Located just outside Chelan on the Columbia River, this 200-acre natural area is home to wetlands, uplands, and rocky cliffs, plus over four miles of trails. It’s the perfect place for a family outing surrounded by nature.
Technically a hiking trail, this scenic route connects downtown Chelan’s Riverwalk Park to the Chelan Dam and River. Fun fact: Lake Chelan has its very own river! It carries the lake’s runoff to the Columbia River.
